About Us

Elegant Counterpanes is owned and operated by the husband and wife team of Neal & Catherine Marion. 

I  have been sewing for 30 years, quilting for 15 and am a member of both the International Machine Quilters Association and the Chisholm Trail Quilt Guild.  My favorite part of work is watching the carefully designed and chosen patterns come to life on our quilting machine.  My husband, Neal,  is a software engineer. He designs our heirloom wholecloth patterns and built and maintains our web site. Together we are striving to create unique and beautiful quilts for all of us to enjoy.

As a totally hands on company, we are involved in all aspects of our quilts.   From selecting the best fabrics and threads to the final hand binding, special care goes into the making of each unique piece.  Many hours are invested in each of our special quilts to ensure the highest quality and attention to detail that are our hallmark.
